(1) Vendor needs to provide road weather information system to the government authority located in Madison, WI.– System is capable of collecting wind speed, air temperature, pavement temperature, ground temperature, precipitation, and chemical content on the pavement.– Maintenance crews monitor weather and road conditions information and use this data to help maintain the road more efficiently and economically by reducing materials and servicing the road in a timely manner.– Traffic operations managers use the data to aid in decision–making to ensure the smooth flow of traffic throughout the State.– Perform all winter maintenance activities on the system.– Provide equipment, hardware, software, and maintenance in compliance with national transportation communications.– Provide the ability to control devices such as variable message signs. These message signs will alert travellers when hazardous road surface or visibility conditions are present.– Provide sensor;• Intrusive Pavement Surface Sensor• Non–Intrusive Pavement Sensor• Temperature Data Probe• Wireless Sensor• Precipitation Sensor• Air Temperature and Relative Humidity Sensor• Wind Speed/Direction Sensor• Fold–Over Tower• Mobile Sensor• IoT Sensor.(2) The contract period will be for three years.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than April 11, 2025.
